 Unknown. Anesidora is said to have existed in secret since the time split, demise, fall, and recreation of The Realms. However it remained hidden until recently due to all the gates, veils, bridges etc. being opened at the same time which mysteriously exposed its' existence. Although this would seem as something wonderful -  there are always constant dangers which appear along with such mysterious, hidden and sacred, within such a powerful and magical realm;  The beauty of Anesidora is so great - but the danger is ever greater  for on Anesidora it is literally a constant struggle between Good, Evil, and Peace- their had to be boarder guardians placed within the realm to aid in the fight against the creatures which try to break through from the realm into others. The boarder guardians are the ones who risk every second of their lives for this sacred area, By a means of seals, barriers,  purification and divinity rituals, blood and rune magics etc. even the border guardians themselves have to be purified after their shifts by any means necessary and most of the time this means by giving up their lives, in honor - so the boarder guardians are always recruiting new blood.
